China Tourist Visa Requirements

1. Passport

Your passport is valid for at least 6 months, with copies of blank pages and passport data pages

2. Application form

A properly completed application form for a Chinese tourist visa. Please complete each column of the application form and use "n / a" if not applicable. If the application form is not completed truthfully, completely and legally, the application may be delayed or rejected

3. Recent photos

A recent passport-sized color photo with a white background attached to the application form

4. Round trip ticket and Chinese hotel reservation or invitation letter

Documents showing the itinerary, including proof of round-trip ticket booking and proof of hotel booking.

Or, if you are invited to China, you can submit the invitation letter sent by the inviting party, whether it is a unit or an individual, and provide the following information:

a. information about the applicant, including full name, gender, and date of birth.

b. information about the planned visit, including the date of arrival and departure, and the place of visit.

c. information about the invitee, including name, contact number, address, official seal, and signature of the legal representative of the entity or the invitee.

5. Other supporting documents

For those who do not apply in their country of nationality, proof of legal residence or residence status is required. In some cases, applicants may be required to submit a letter of proof from their employer with the following details: the name and contact details of the employer, the applicant's income statement or the original copy of the applicant's bank statement for the last six months.

Applicants intending to travel to Tibet must obtain a Tibet travel permit, which can be obtained by a travel agency from the Tourism Bureau of the Tibet Autonomous Region.

Extension of Chinese tourist visa

If you need to stay longer than allowed by the visa, you can apply to the local China entry exit administration for extension 7 days before the expiry of L visa.

You need to provide passport, visa application form with recent color photos, temporary residence permit and travel itinerary. If your application is approved, you can stay for a long time without exceeding the original visa stay time.
