China L Visa

China L visa is issued to foreigners who intend to travel to China. For U.S. passport holders, the average stay is up to 60 days. There is also a 10-year visa that allows multiple entries and is valid for up to 10 years. For non-U.S. passport holders, each visit is usually limited to a maximum of 60 days, but only for single or multiple entries, valid for three or six months.

How To Apply for China L Visa

Actual passport with copy of name page

Please make sure your passport has at least 12 months left. Otherwise, you have to renew your passport first. A passport should have at least two blank visa pages. Note that the last three pages of a U.S. passport are not visa pages. These are the revision pages reserved by the State Department to amend the passport. Visa is not acceptable. If your passport does not have a blank visa page, you can add a visa page.

Non-U.S. passport holders must provide a copy of the U.S. green card or a valid U.S. long-term residence visa, such as l, h, F, TN. please note that B1 / B2 visa is not included.

One visa application form per person

Please fill in the application form on the computer, print a hard copy and sign. Note that handwriting is not acceptable. All fields are required. If a part is not applicable, type none or not applicable. Incomplete forms will be rejected! The printed form is not allowed to be changed or corrected. If there are any changes or corrections, you must print a new form. Please print and submit the application form on one side, do not use staples.

A recent passport photo

Photos need to be taken within 6 months. Front, white or off white background, 33mm (W) x 48mm (H). Please use paper clips, not staples or glue.

Round trip ticket and hotel confirmation or invitation letter

Copy of return flight confirmation. Hotel confirmation, the name of the applicant is the guest.

If you are visiting someone in China but have not reserved a hotel, please provide an invitation.

The invitation must include the following:

Personal information of the applicant: name, gender, date of birth, passport number, etc.

Information about the applicant's visit to China: the purpose of the visit, the date of arrival and departure, the place of visit, the relationship between the applicant and the inviting party, and who will bear the expenses of the applicant's accommodation in China.

Information of the inviting party: personal name, telephone number, address, and signature of the inviting party.

Submit online visa service application form

Specify your return address by submitting a service request form online. It doesn't matter if your mailing address is different from your home address. Specify your email address so that confirmation and status updates can be sent to you by email during this process. You can use a single service request form to enter multiple applicants.
