At this company, I’ve started as an intern in 2004 and throughout the 19 years I evolved to in-house translator and ended as Translation/IT Manager. I’ve translated, proofread, edited, managed over 15.000 jobs from various fields; these include mechanics, medical devices and software, IT, software and hardware, websites general and legal content, legal documentation from companies and private individuals, jewellery, fashion, printers, home appliances, automotive painting/refinishing, photography, marketing, chemical industry SDSs, bikes, motorcycles, air conditioning systems, civil engineering, tourism, watercrafts, packing and production lines, lawn mowers, mining industry, explosives, environmental, gaming industry, firefighting products, construction industry, piping industry, toys, phones, health plans, this list is endless and I can’t remember all of the projects I’ve handled. I have extensive experience in translation and formatting of legal documents for certified translations (Notarial Certificates and Hague Convention), delivery of translated documents in the same format as the original documents, QA analysis and checking, analysis of workload and forecasting delivery dates, proofreading, consistency, spelling, grammar and punctuation checking, automated translation adaptation, following client’s glossaries, style guides, termbases, manuals, references, instructions and requirements, using translation memories and keeping long-term consistency across all projects for a given client, providing feedback and presenting queries on any issue that arises in any project. I’m quite familiar with all Trados/SDL products, mainly with SDL Trados Studio, with several online and offline platforms/software for translators, with all Microsoft products, with QA checking and analysis tools, and I have good knowledge of SEO techniques. I’ve also worked as a hardware reseller before my job as a translator, which has given me a good support for solving IT issues. I adapt quickly to new software due to my natural curiosity and persistency.
