Responsibilities: i) Conduct thorough daily safety inspection of the workplace to ensure all tags, PTWs, Work Requirement Forms were accurate before work shifts change. ii) Prepare daily handover documents to Production Manager and Production Engineer after completing safety inspection to maintain accurate information communication. iii) Responsible to investigate, analyze and respond to all safety related issues from on-site workers and contractors to improve safety in the working environment. iv) Perform special research and investigation regarding health and safety of the workplace, work procedure and equipment. v) Conduct and Manage special training and educational programs to increase awareness among staffs, contractors and suppliers. vi) Conduct Safety Induction/Training to new comers, contractors and suppliers in ensuring safety practice in workplace. vii) Coordinate Exploration and Production members in implementing Safe Work Procedure (SWP) in compliance to ISO 45001: 2012 – Safety Management System Certification. viii) Cooperate with Engineering Department in monthly, quarterly and yearly inspection of manufacturing, exploration and production equipment to ensure the safety integrity of the equipment available in workplace. ix) Cooperate with Engineering Department, Manufacturing Department and Production Department in analyzing any possible consequences before any new projects in the workplace involving construction, workflow and work procedure. x) Collaborate with Engineering Department in analyzing the “Worst Case Scenario” of any possible Dangerous Accident or Occurrences of equipment failure and human error. xi) Cooperate with all Safety committee members in performing Workplace Safety Inspection in every three (3) months. Achievements: i) Reduced 85% of Non-LTI accidents among Production and Exploration workers by implementing frequent safety monitoring in exploration jobs. ii) Reduce 65% of accumulative Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) and Cumulative Traumatic Disorders (CTDs) among production and exploration workers by implementing Systematical Ergonomic Work Procedure in exploration work, iii) Develop, implement and maintain employees’ 100% awareness and compliance to Occupational Hazards and Disease Prevention and Containment Protocol by providing training programs as indicated by regulatory guidelines, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment, including authorized level training. iv) Achieved and maintained Zero LTI (100% Safe Operations) among exploration members for 22 months from August 2013. v) Conduct and Coordinate all departments in Emergency Response Training and provide all relevant information in a report to be presented to top management. vi) Achieved 100% score for Internal Compliance Audit for Safety Regulatory and Safety Procedures Compliance for ESSO Exploration Global. vii) Achieved 97% Score of Safety Implementation and Impairing Response from Schlumberger Certification Audit. viii) Achieved in establishing the first Environmental Sustainable Goals for ESSO Exploration Nigeria Limited in 2016. ix) Conduct, coordinate and implement Green Energy implementation for office and administration use and contributed energy consumption reduction of 12% from Solar Panel implementation. x) Achieved 100% EHS Compliance award from ESSO Exploration Global for collaboration with contractors and 3PL for daily constructions and operations. xi) Achieved 85% of positive feedbacks from exploration members, contractors and 3PL members for implementing Ergonomics Work Safety Procedures in daily operations. Manufacturing Engineer- Assembly Line (Permanent) Responsibilities: i) Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout based on the requirement of production flow and manufacturing process. ii) Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods, process capabilities and manufacturing processes based on the client’s requirement. iii) Representing Manufacturing Department as Safety and Health Representative in the company’s Safety and Health Committee. iv) Conduct Workplace Safety Inspection with the Safety and Health Committee in every three (3) months. v) Calculate cost effective and Return of Investment (ROI) of new equipment, processes and manufacturing system to maximize profitable income for every new project received from clients. vi) Supervising engineering and technical staff by planning and organizing scheduled Preventive Maintenance on the available manufacturing equipment and manufacturing process. vii) Investigate production problems and diagnosing faults related with the quality of the product, equipment breakdowns, and human error in current operation to increase manufacturing efficiency. viii) Maintaining Statistical and Financial Records related with production capacity, expanses, overtime and the overall performance of production staff. ix) Cooperate with Maintenance Department for any new installation or purchasing of new equipment. x) Liaising with all related suppliers, contractors, clients and Research and Development (R&D) department in ensuring smooth supplies of raw material and production flow. xi) Provide manufacturing decision-making report to top management by providing all related information of production calculation, labor cost, material cost, production schedule and future requirements. summarizing current trends and manufacturing capacity. xiii) Maintain products and company’s reputation with local authorities’ requirements by complying with all related acts and regulations (OSHA 1994, FMA 1967 and EQA 1994). xiv) Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
