I interned at two schools within the NYC DOE (the largest middle school in Manhattan and a performance-based high school. Within my work, I developed and lead individual and group counseling sessions with an emphasis on social and emotional learning. I also created school-wide advisory lessons focused on social learning, diversity, and inclusion, and self-reflection. I lastly provided counseling to diverse students in post-secondary planning with a focus on best-fit and personal development

I served as the first Graduate Admissions Assistant within the Office of Admissions at the School of General Studies. In this multifaceted role, I gained experience in nearly all aspects of the admissions experience as it relates to serving students from non-traditional backgrounds. This included reading and reviewing college applications; consulting with students in the admissions process; college recruitment from community colleges, community organizations, and scholars program; designing marketing materials; and hosting applicants and their families. While working with non-traditional students, a core focus of my experience was working with United States Military Veterans. This included researching on veterans organizations, becoming knowledgeable on government-based funding (The GI Bill and VRE Bill), and providing specific counseling for younger and older veterans who are looking for a valuable educational experience.

I was honored to have been hired as the first Publicity Manager at IC Tutoring Services. Through this experience, I managed and created “Learn Success with Us” an educational campaign focused on creating positive learning experiences for students who required additional academic support.

In this role, I hosted weekly tours and virtual presentations for distinguished visitors, potential students, and families. I also aided various Assistant and Associate Directors of Admission in hosting campus events for thousands of families. Lastly, I provided academic guidance and admission advice to high school students in their college search process.

In the beginning of my junior year of college, I started serving as the President of The Professional Achievement and Career Excellence Club at Ithaca College (Formerly the IC Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators). In this capacity I presided over a nine-person executive board and chair various campus/community events that relate to professional development. Additionally, I also developed club fundraisers to raise funds and have coordinated events to boost morale.

Over the course of 5 summers, I worked with children who had cancer. As many of these children face weekly hospital visits, chemotherapy, and various forms of medicine and treatment, my goal was to provide these children with supported and continuous happiness. My responsibilities included event coordination, camper supervision, and communication with various stakeholders.

During the Spring 2020 semester, I served as Classroom Teaching Assistant for two class sections of Communication in Organizations. My responsibilities included assisting an Ithaca College Associate Professor in classroom teaching and student success. On various occasions I would execute carry out duties and manage supplemental educational technology that was used during the shift to E-Learning caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.In the Fall Semester, I aided a Visiting Professor of Management at Ithaca College in finding and developing supplemental classroom materials relating to Human Resources, Organizational Behavioral Management, and Introduction of Business. I also provided administrative support relating to management and leadership experimental studies.

After writing and receiving a Grant from the President of Ithaca College, I developed a program entitled MIND: The Mentoring Initiative for Networking and Development. Through this program, I and two IC staff members created mentoring pairs composed of students and faculty/staff members. Throughout the semester, the program successfully hosted three events and partnered 20 mentoring pairs.
