I currently work part-time as an English as a Second Language Teacher, with both online and in-person clients. I source all of my own teaching materials so that I can personally tailor my students' lessons to them according to their learning styles and needs. My students have varying levels of English and I have taught all ages in the past but at the moment I'm mostly dealing with B1/B2 levels.

I worked as head of admin for this mobile bar company based in Bristol; a job which I mostly undertook remotely. My roles involved managing the company calendar by booking events and meetings with prospective clients, then continually liaising with them and managing paperwork and contracts. My communication skills were constantly exercised as I was the main point of contact for our clients, helping devise and plan their events and answering any of their queries.

My job with Hawkwood involved writing and editing content for this beautiful arts charity's new website and brochure, as well as sourcing images and video to advertise courses and events. I had to create and choose content that was in line with their specific branding, as well as liaise with event coordinators and workshop facilitators to ensure that all information and visual content represented them accurately. This role gave me excellent administrative and IT experience as I kept track of a whole host of spreadsheets and learnt how to code on their new online platform.

I worked remotely as a freelance academic feedback specialist with writing feedback service Studiosity. My role with them involved reviewing academic papers ranging all the way from college essays to PHD theses, assisting students with their written English. I pride myself on my ability to write and explain in a clear and eloquent manner, and this skill paired with my teaching experience really aided my ability to help our students by giving them the tools to identify and correct their problem areas themselves.

I worked as one of the core English teachers in this boutique language school in Bath. The school caters for both children and adults alike, as well as students of varied nationalities from Italian to Thai. There was a relatively quick turnover of students as most of their courses lasted only a week or two, which meant that I had constant practice in meticulously selecting and devising appropriate teaching material to suit varying levels of English and background culture, as well as writing detailed weekly reports on each student’s progress and marking stacks of essays and tests at a time.
