Work experience

  • Art and Design Teacher

    Ramkhamheang Advent International School
    2024.03-2025.08(a year)
As an Art and Design teacher, I developed and delivered creative lessons that balanced technical skill-building with self-expression, helping students explore visual storytelling, composition, colour, symbolism, and thematic depth. I guided learners through concept development, critique, iteration, and portfolio creation — teaching them how to communicate ideas through design decisions rather than just technique. This role strengthened my ability to structure content clearly, adapt feedback, and encourage creativity — a skillset that transfers naturally into narrative design and collaborative game development.

Projects

  • Wuxia/xianxia novel

    Personal Project
    2024.06-Current(2 years)
I am currently developing a long-form wuxia/xianxia novel — a world built on cultivation, sect politics, mythic landscapes, and characters shaped by devotion, power, and consequence. The project explores emotional arcs, inter-clan conflict, moral tension, and the cost of ascension, with a focus on branching character choices and thematic payoff. This work allows me to apply deep worldbuilding, pacing control, cultural lore research, and layered character development while refining narrative structure across a multi-volume arc.

Educational experience

  • SEETEFL

    TEFL
    2024.02-2024.03(2 months)
My TEFL certification equipped me with practical communication, lesson-structuring, and audience-adaptation skills — requiring clarity, tone control, and the ability to present information in an engaging, layered way. Teaching English strengthened my command of language mechanics, grammar, pacing, and instructional storytelling, while improving my ability to tailor content to different skill levels and cultural contexts — all of which support clean narrative writing, dialogue precision, and reader/player accessibility.
  • University of South Africa

    Psychology
    2020.07-2023.06(3 years)
BA Psychology — Cum Laude (UNISA) — A degree grounded in human behaviour, emotion, motivation, and decision-making, giving me a strong foundation for crafting believable characters, authentic dialogue, and narrative tension. Through academic study of cognition, interpersonal dynamics, trauma, growth, conflict resolution, and developmental psychology, I gained insight into how people react under pressure, form relationships, change over time, and make choices with long-term consequences — all directly relevant to building compelling story arcs, character-driven narratives, and meaningful player agency in interactive fiction.
