  - Monitor and control processes within the processing plant from the centralized control room. - Ensure that Sulphuric Acid quality is of market value and is consistently achieved. - Respond to alarms and process disturbances in a timely manner. - Adjust process variables to optimize production efficiency while adhering to quality standards. - Monitor equipment status, process parameters, and instrumentation readings to ensure they are within specified ranges and take corrective actions if necessary. - Clearly and accurately communicate the status of the Acid plant to field operators. - Keep detailed records of operational activities (Log sheets), incidents, and maintenance performed for reporting and analysis purposes. - Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. - Monitor and manage alarms and alerts, responding promptly to abnormal situations to prevent or mitigate potential issues. - Implement emergency response procedures when required and assist in evacuations or shutdowns if necessary. - Understand and identify all relevant plant equipment items, processes and control systems. - Other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor. ADDITIONAL Focus: During acid plant shutdown and maintenance: Worked under the safety department as a safety officer. Conducting site inspections in the mines, preparing safety talk topics and conducting and attending safety talk meetings. Ensuring that all company safety policies are upheld by every employee i.e
