Admissions | Job Market Coordinator | Alumni RelationsHoused in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, the Department of Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics has 22 world-class faculty members who provide world-class teaching, research, and outreach in applied economics with concentrations in the areas of agricultural economics and agribusiness, environmental and resource economics, international and development economics, and regional and urban economics.I am a passionate coordinator responsible for marketing, recruiting and guiding the best students through the admissions process of our three academic programs.-BS Agribusiness & Applied Economics-Master of Applied Economics (2-Semester Professional Program)-Ph.D. Agricultural, Environmental, and Development EconomicsAs the Job Market Coordinator I provide career development support to roughly 30-40 master’s and Ph.D. students each year as they prepare to graduate and enter the workforce as applied economist in a variety of focuses. Lastly, I am charged with networking and creating partnerships with our alumni who are all over the world. Keeping them informed about the great work our faculty, students, and fellow alum are doing from our department.

As an admission counselor my goal was to help guide prospective students throughout the admission process and showcasing the qualities of a small, private, liberal arts education at Otterbein University. I worked with prospective students from Northwest Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan by creating connections at high school visits, college fairs, and off campus yield events. Assisting families throughout the application, financial aid, and housing process. Increased enrollment from this area through one recruitment cycle.As a member of the Alumni Recruitment team I collaborated with campus partners in the creation of a program to have alumni members go to college fairs in areas where we had a strong alumni base. I lead the implementation process of communication, marketing, training, and logistics of preparing alumni to be ambassadors of the admission office and university.
