The company specializes in the sourcing, design, manufacture and export of plastic cosmetic packaging (lipstick, lipgloss vials, compacts, etc.). The Guangzhou office, where this position is located, is responsible for overseeing Jerhel Plastics' production orders throughout all of Greater China and Asia. The Guangzhou office has staff for sourcing, logistics, engineering and QC. Applicant will report directly to the Director of Operations and to engineers located in the US. They will be responsible for: - managing sourcing requests, - tracking new tooling/project status and reporting to US headquarters, - sourcing and evaluating new vendors in SE Asia (outside of China), - negotiating contracts, - analyzing quotes and component costs, and - keeping the Director abreast of various production/project statuses Travel: day trips to Pearl River Delta area factories, 1-2 days every 2-3 weeks; overnight trips to Shanghai/Zhejiang/Jiangsu for3-4 days once or twice every 2-3 months. Opportunities for travel to Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, etc after covid restrictions are lifted. Position offers great potential to learn about all facets of the contract manufacturing/export business.
