Program coordinator’s roles are to support online student-faculty research cohorts to establish a technically efficient and academically smooth educational experience for our students and faculty members. For students and faculty under your purview as their program coordinator, you will be the organization’s point person who is highly influential on the quality of their program experience. This position will allow you to work with an international team to coordinate the efforts and cultural understanding of students across different countries and of professors from leading colleges and universities. All work will be conducted remotely from your home or other convenient location that has high speed internet access. At certain times when you are coordinating video-conferenced meetings, a broadband connection (connecting your computer through a broadband cable to a router instead of using a wireless connection) will be necessary. The program will run in two parts. The first part will be from mid-February through mid-April and the second part will be from early-June through mid-August. Candidates for this position must be available to work with your cohort(s) through both parts of the program. You can be responsible for between one to four research cohorts with two to five students and one professor in each cohort. The number of cohorts you agree to work with depends on your availability and interest. Each cohort will require a total of approximately 40 to 45 hours of work. The first half of the program will usually require two to four hours per cohort per week. The second half will require four to six hours per cohort per week. About 35% of the work will be performed during scheduled meetings on evenings and weekends. The remaining 65% can be done according to your own schedule but will require you to check daily if there are outstanding issues to attend to.Primary Responsibilities Coordinate with the student and faculty participants in each phase of the program to ensure smooth execution Provide technical and academic support to the student participants throughout the program Participate in a two to four hours of paid online training sessions in late January or early-February before the program starts Review the communications on the online Pioneer Learning Management System at least once daily to respond to issues from students and faculty Attend two weekly Program Management meetings to discuss student progress and issues

Desired Qualifications Current bachelor-degree candidate or higher Part- or full-time work experience and references available Commitment to work with assigned cohorts and students as necessary from mid-February through late-July Strong interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication Well-organized and service-oriented with a demonstrated commitment to follow through Excellent time management skills with willingness to take initiative and to find creative solutions to solve problems Comfortable working remotely and coordinating with team members online and by phone Strong interest in online education and desire to help students succeed in the program Maintain a reliable high-speed internet connection for the duration of the program Excellent command of verbal and written English
