Administers a guidance counseling program that assists with disciplinary issues and aligns with the Counseling Program Student Standards and Student Code of Conduct for International students. 2. Deliver a system of individual student planning, responsive services, and system support within the guidance curriculum. 3. Conduct goal-oriented counseling, responsive to identified student needs, relative to student achievement and school success. 4. Collaborate with school personnel to assist students with developing skills that support academic achievement, high school graduation, and lifelong learning. 5. Maintain confidentiality and accurate student records using Power School as appropriate. 6. Work professionally with administration, staff, parents, and community. 7. Assist International students with culturally diverse and special populations in meeting individual needs to support academic achievement and student development. 8. Assist students with acquiring skills that maximize their personal and social development. 9. Facilitate parent and student conferences with teachers. 10. Supports schools to build their capacity to develop and foster productive partnerships that facilitate positive family and community relationships with Family and Community Engagement. 11. Collects and maintains accurate data to document outcomes and impact of family engagement activities. 12. Assists in the coordination of school/academic events, (i.e., organizing special activities for family and student participation). 13. Interprets school discipline and attendance relations to students and parents/guardians. 14. Promotes and assists, when necessary, the encouragement of student and parent/guardian participation in school activities by ensuring dissemination and understanding of information on school or community flyers, social media, staff memos, or other pertinent correspondence.

The International School Counselor will collaborate with the American Counselor and Dean of Students to implement a comprehensive guidance counseling program according to the American School Counselors Association (ASCA) and the school Student Code of Conduct. The employee, utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, will participate in a school counseling program that promotes and enhances academic achievement, personal/social growth, and career development for all secondary students. This person will be expected to adhere to the Professional Domains and Standards for Licensed Employees and report directly to the School Principal.
