Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: Media and Analyst Relations, Outreach and Management • Develop and execute media and analyst outreach strategies to position company as a global leader in AR/XR, in alignment with Global PR and Marketing teams. • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets and journalists, and analysts, in the consumer tech, gaming, productivity, and travel verticals. • Craft press releases, media pitches, and other communications materials that align with company’s brand voice and strategic goals. • Coordinate media interviews, product reviews, and press events. • Manage and optimize media outreach to drive coverage across key publications and platforms. • Maintain relationships with key industry analysts to drive data- and research-led narratives for company in the market. • Manage relationships with PR and media agencies to ensure smooth execution of campaigns, driving results in line with KPIs. • Serve as a core point of contact for external agencies and partners, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with company’s marketing and communications objectives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure agencies' deliverables meet deadlines, quality standards, and brand requirements. Influencer and Content Creator Management • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with key opinion leaders, influencers, and content creators across XR, tech, gaming, productivity, and travel sectors. • Drive strategic influencer partnerships that align with marketing objectives. • Oversee influencer campaigns, ensuring timely execution, measurable results, and alignment with company’s brand guidelines and goals. • Develop creative strategies to integrate influencers into key product launches, campaigns, and events that align with PR strategies and objectives. • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and brand requirements. Social Media and Community Relations Strategies and Management • Co-develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals in concert with the social media lead. • Collaborate with digital marketing teams to amplify Communications efforts across social media and content marketing channels. • Own, develop and implement a comprehensive community relations strategy aligned with business goals, in touch with community ebbs and flows, and in concert with PR, Marketing and Customer Support leads. Event Planning and Execution • Plan and execute live events such as conferences and tradeshows, product launches, press conferences, and experiential marketing activations. • Coordinate influencer and media events, including hands-on product demos, briefings, and VIP experiences. • Lead logistics for event execution, ensuring seamless integration with larger marketing strategies, aligning with internal operations teams. • Develop creative event concepts that showcase company’s innovations and engage industry and consumer audiences. • Create and manage first-person content production for owned channels through relevant events and campaigns, including developing amplification strategies for that content. • Create and distribute compelling case studies that amplify various uses of company products in the real world and from developers and partners. • Work with external event agencies and vendors to deliver high-impact, on-brand events in concert with internal operations teams. • Measure the success of events through metrics such as media coverage, influencer participation, and attendee feedback. Strategic Planning and Execution with Cross-functional Collaboration • Work closely with the Heads of Marketing and PR to develop comprehensive communications strategies that support company’s integrated marketing goals. • Partner with cross-functional internal teams, including product marketing, digital marketing, PR and customer support, to ensure alignment on messaging, strategies, and key initiatives. • Position company executives and products as industry leaders through social media, community relations, media opportunity, owned channel storytelling and influencer strategies. • Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels, both internally and externally. • Track and report on the effectiveness of media, influencer, and agency activities, making data-driven recommendations for future campaigns. • Support brand and product launches with targeted communications strategies.
Job Requirements
• 5-8+ years of experience in communications, public relations, digital marketing, influencer relations, or journalism, preferably in the consumer tech industry. • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field. • Proven experience managing campaigns and relationships with media outlets, content creators and influencers, and agencies in the consumer tech, gaming, productivity, and travel sectors. • Expertise in the consumer tech industry and strong understanding of the AR/XR industry, with a passion for new technologies and innovation. • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling stories and manage sensitive situations. • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute successful campaigns that drive measurable results. • Proven project management skills, ability to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Strong experience in event planning and execution, from concept development to post-event evaluation. • Analytical mindset, with experience in evaluating campaign performance, optimizing and pivoting strategies for maximum impact. • Experience with influencer marketing platforms and media monitoring tools is a plus.
