ESL TEACHER MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES ➢ Design and follow complete teaching plan ➢ Organize learning material and resources ➢ Use a variety of activities and different teaching methods (songs, stories, art, outdoor activities etc.) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities ➢ Maintain an open line of communication with lead teacher to reach academic goals ➢ Create positive and appropriate classroom environment ➢ Provide constructive feedback to lead teacher and administration ➢ Cooperate with administration staff ➢ Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations REGULATIONS ➢ Cooperate with lead teacher, follow teaching guidelines ➢ Attend class meetings weekly ➢ Attend staff meetings, trainings, events ➢ Use mobile phone in classroom only for taking pictures of students with lead teacher permission ➢ Wear uniform provided by school every day (dark blue/black pants/jeans; black indoor shoes) ➢ Submit and authorize absence form by lead teacher at least 2 days in advance; reason of absence must be stated in Chinese; hand in submitted and signed form to the front desk administrator ➢ Work hours are Monday to Friday 8:20 AM to 5:00 PM;
