Summary

From my work with elementary and middle school students to my colleagues to those who have taken a digital storytelling workshop with me, I have emphasized the importance of story in our lives for nearly twenty years. I love being a teacher mostly because I get to spend my days discussing and shaping the stories my students bring to me each day. I have worked hard to create a balanced and successful reading/writing workshop environment for my students. While I have an extensive background in educational technology applications, the craft and importance of narrative in our lives has been the driving force behind my interest in technology in education. I have been a National Board of Professional Teaching Standards certified teacher since 2013. Specialties: digital storytelling, 1:1 laptop program, video editing, reading and writing strategies
