My name is Tanguy Declercq, and I am Belgian, native in Dutch and French, and completely fluent in English. Additionally, I have an advanced level of Japanese, which I cultivated during my exchange programs in Japan (1.5 years). I obtained my French Teaching degree at Artevelde University College. Next, I graduated from Ghent University (2nd bachelor and master in Japanology), a reputable institution ranked 84 on the Shanghai university ranking list in 2024. I combined different teaching jobs (French and Japanese) for multiple institutions and different levels. (Middle school, high school, university, and adult night classes). These experiences have equipped me with the flexibility to cater to the unique needs of each target group and given me the ambition to keep learning about new teaching methods. Besides my teaching assignment, I also worked as IT-support, helping co-workers navigate within the online school platform as well as giving workshops on how to create online teaching materials. What sets me apart is my enthusiasm for working in an international environment. Having immersed myself in various cultures during my time abroad, I have developed a profound respect for diversity and a genuine eagerness to learn from others. I have lived in Belgium (taught French in the Dutch-speaking part and Dutch in the French-speaking part), spend a few years in France (Lille) and studied for 1,5 years in Japan (Kobe and Sapporo).
