National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS)2020.07-Current(6 years)I work within the Manufacturing Skills Academy (MSA) which focusses on engineering / manufacturing skills development at all levels from school to upskilling and reskilling experienced engineers. . - Successfully delivered our Advanced Manufacturing Challenge Fund (AMCF) project. 3-year, £1M project to develop training content and engage with 300 unique manufacturing SMEs to deliver training / project support. - Ongoing work within Scottish manufacturing has allowed me to build a community of around 500 contacts who I regularly engage with to promote NMIS and MSA events and opportunities. - Worked with Scottish manufacturing businesses and candidates to facilitate ~50 placements of graduate calibre candidates to manufacturing businesses as part of the National Transition Training Fund (NTTF) - Led the NMIS project team in skills foresighting with Shipbuilding, NHS & Scottish Ambulance Service. - I am the NMIS champion for Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP). I facilitate and qualify KTP projects between industry and academia while also providing and internal point of contact for KTP promotion within NMIS. - I co-ordinate and host engagement events and workshops (both online andin-person) to promote NMIS & MSA support and training events.Business development officer (maternity cover)
