I began my career in defence, building Challenger 2 main battle tanks, and have since focused on ground breaking technology and services. This includes delivering innovation support at the Carbon Trust Incubator by enabling businesses to exploit low-carbon technology, establishing the £14m Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University, developing and commercialising an outdoor badminton shuttle product, and breaking a world speed record on Channel 4 with Guy Martin.
