- Processing purchase requisitions for consumables, tools, PPE, packaging materials, uniforms et - Ensuring timely sourcing of required items to avoid workflow interruptions. - Vendor Coordination - Communicating with approved suppliers to confirm availability, pricing, and delivery timelines. - Placing orders and following up on shipment status. - Inventory Support - Working closely with the warehouse team to monitor stock levels. - Reordering items before they reach critical low levels (reorder point management). - PO Management - rating and tracking Purchase Orders (POs) in the procurement system. - Ensuring accuracy in quantity, price, delivery address, and payment terms. - Receiving & Verification - Coordinating with receiving teams to ensure goods match the PO and quality standards. - Resolving any delivery discrepancies with suppliers (wrong items, shortages, damages). Cost Control & Budget - Ensuring procurement aligns with operational budgets. - Looking for cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality. Documentation & Compliance - Maintaining records of purchases, supplier communications, and delivery receipts. - Ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies and audit requirements. Emergency Orders - Handling urgent or unexpected purchase needs due to stockouts or operational disruptions. - Fast-tracking approvals when necessary.
