What requirements do foreigners need to fulfill to work in China? How can they be legally employed in China?

As China's economy takes off and people's standard of living improves, more and more expatriates are coming to China to work and live. China's vast market with many job opportunities provides a broad development platform for expatriates.
But in fact, foreigners come to China not only to make money, but also to be able to understand and learn Chinese culture, and establish friendship and contact with the Chinese people, we all know that not all foreigners can come to China to work, if foreigners want to be legally employed in China, then you need to meet certain requirements, otherwise you will not be able to apply to work in China.
So, what requirements do foreigners need to fulfill in order to work in China?
1、Basic conditions of the applicant:
(1) Be at least 18 years old, in good health and have no criminal record.
(2) There is a definite employer in the territory, and he/she has the necessary professional skills or appropriate knowledge to perform his/her work.
(3) The work they are engaged in meets the needs of China's economic and social development, and they are professionals in urgent need and shortage in China.
(4) If laws and regulations provide otherwise for foreigners to work in China, the provisions shall apply.
2、Foreign High-end Talents (Category A)
Scientists, scientific and technological leaders, international entrepreneurs, specialized special talents, etc. who meet the criteria of "high precision, top-notch and shortages" and market demand orientation and the needs of China's economic and social development, as well as talents who meet the criteria of counting the points of foreign high-end talents, and the foreign high-end talents may not be subject to the limitations of age, qualification and working experience.
3、Foreign Professionals (Category B)
Talents in line with the directory of foreigners working in China and job requirements, talents in urgent need of economic and social development, with bachelor's degree or above and 2 or more years of relevant working experience, and aged no more than 60 years old.
4、Other Foreign Talents (Category C)
Other foreign personnel refers to other foreign personnel who meet the needs of the domestic labor market and are in line with national policies, as specified in the Criteria for Classification of Foreigners Coming to Work in China (Trial Implementation).
Under the premise of meeting the application requirements, foreign friends also need to have legal working documents in China. According to the relevant regulations, foreign applicants need to obtain a notice of work permit to China, then apply for a Chinese work visa to enter China, and finally apply for a work permit as well as a work-based residence permit.
According to Article 41 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Departure and Re-entry, foreigners working in China shall obtain work permits and work-type residence permits in accordance with the provisions of the law, and no unit or individual shall employ foreigners who have not obtained work permits and work-type residence permits, that is to say, foreign applicants need to hold work permits and work-type residence permits before they can work legally in China, otherwise they will be regarded as illegal employment. Otherwise, it will be regarded as illegal employment.
In addition, foreigners are required to respect China's social and political system, abide by the relevant laws and regulations, and shall not engage in any behavior in China that harms China's political, economic and social security.
