Q: What is the maximum period of time for which an alien may leave the country if he or she has been given a decision to leave the country for a limited period of time? A: According to Article 33 of the Regulations on Administration of the Entry and Exit of Aliens, if an alien is decided to leave the country within a limited period of time, the organ that makes the decision shall, after canceling or seizing his/her original exit/entry document, complete the procedures for him/her to stay in the country again, and set a limited period of time for him/her to leave the country. The maximum period of limited stay shall not exceed 15 days.
