According to the "Interim Measures for Foreigners Employed in China to Participate in Social Insurance" released in 2011:

Article 3 stipulates that foreign individuals employed by organizations registered or registered within China, such as enterprises, public institutions, social organizations, private non enterprise units, foundations, law firms, and accounting firms, must participate in basic pension insurance, basic medical insurance, work-related injury insurance, unemployment insurance, and maternity insurance. Both employers and employees are responsible for paying social insurance premiums.

Foreign individuals who are sent to branches or representative offices registered or recorded within China after signing employment contracts with foreign employers should also participate in the aforementioned insurance, and both employers and employees should pay necessary insurance premiums.

Therefore, it is evident that foreign workers in China are required to pay their respective employers' social security contributions.
