Joint Research Fellow of the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies of 西南科技大学 (Southwest University of Science and Technology - SWUST), focusing on the Latin America Dynamics project. The goal was to do research and write articles on key political, economic and social issues in Brazil, as well as promote China-Brazil and China-Latin America relations. In addition, I also participated as a speaker in an international academic conference organised by the university and held on July 20, 2021, under the theme international aid.

Visiting Researcher at the Centre for Asian Studies of the Department of Social, Political and Country Planning Sciences of the University of Aveiro (DCSPT/UA). Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Carlos José de Oliveira e Silva Rodrigues, who heads the department and coordinates its Master in Chinese Studies, the goal was to do research on China, focusing on Special Economic Zones and development matters.Achievement: published the chapter SEZs and Chinas Development Promotion: Policy Exchanges under the Belt and Road Initiative, co-authored by Carlos Rodrigues, in the book Special Economic Zones as Regional Development Enablers (IGI Global).

Responsibilities included conducting, revising and publishing in-depth research on Brazils legal and financial markets; writing, revising and editing relevant articles on Brazilian politics, economy, foreign affairs and society, as well as its legal market; conducting, revising, editing and publishing high-level interviews with executives and professionals from major firms; assisting in the definition of new editorial strategies; training new professionals at junior level; and preparing rankings.Achievements (2020): helped to launch new rankings, going from 22 (2018) to 48 (2020); helped boost the companys social media, with LinkedIn going from approximately 7.000 to over 10.000, a milestone for the company; and trained new professionals at junior level and helped to manage the work of senior professionals alongside the Editor-in-Chief.

Responsibilities included publishing in-depth research on Brazils legal and financial markets; writing and revising executive summaries and relevant articles on the economy and the legal profession; conducting high-level interviews with executives and professionals from major firms; preparing rankings; training new professionals from the editorial team; participating in top-tier business and legal events; and assisting the organisation of the Finance & Law Summit and Awards (FILASA).Achievements (2019): helped launch Leaders Leagues second local guide, Brazils Best Counsel, still a pioneer project for the company; helped launch approximately 10 new rankings; helped boost the companys social media, with LinkedIn going from approximately 2.000 followers to over 7.000; participated as moderator in a panel during FILASA, entitled Perspectives on Tax Reform in Brazil, alongside speakers from major companies, such as Machado Associados, JBS and Eletrobras; and was invited to launch and head the research on Portugal for approximately a year.

Responsibilities included publishing in-depth research on Portugals legal and financial markets; writing executive summaries and relevant articles on the economy and the legal profession; conducting high-level interviews and participating in meetings with partners from major firms; and preparing rankings.Achievements: expanded the number of rankings in 62.5%; launched an official guide with guidelines and procedures to be followed by researchers internationally; implemented a solid research methodology for the first time in Portugal; oversaw and organised all three annual research cycles; increased the companys notoriety in the Portuguese market; and successfully prepared the ground for a local team to take on the research.

March-June, 2019: Guest Researcher at the BRICS Policy Center. Contributed to a group coordinated by Professor Paulo Esteves, Ph.D., which aimed to map and analyse Chinese aid, trade and investments in Latin America. Also attended specific data management workshops.August, 2017-May, 2018: Graduate Student Research Assistant (PUC-Rio Scholarship) at the Laboratory of Financing and International Cooperation for Development (LACID), coordinated by Professor Maria Elena Rodriguez, Ph.D.,focusing on Chinese investments in Brazil and Latin America, socioenvironmental impacts, renewable energies and development banks.

Responsibilities included publishing in-depth research on Brazils legal and financial markets; writing articles on the economy and the legal profession; conducting interviews; and preparing rankings.Achievements (2018): helped launch Leaders Leagues first local guide, Brazils Best Counsel; helped launch 13 new rankings and a new research methodology; and helped boost the companys social media, with LinkedIn going from less than 50 followers to over 2.000, and Facebook being created and reaching 500.
