In 2023, I led a team of seven to deliver practical, learner-centred training on communication clarity, critical thinking, and skills development. I trained 40 youths in Ologbo community through an NGO initiative, tailored educational content, created materials, guided discussions, and assessed learner progress. I emphasised mentorship, communication, and collaboration skills transferable to supporting English language learners abroad.

As a Primary Four teacher, I taught English language to children aged 7 to 11. I focus on literacy, grammar, vocabulary, and oral communication using interactive methods like storytelling and group activities. I created an inclusive environment to build confidence and supported peer collaboration. I adapted lessons to meet diverse learning needs and provide individual support for reading and writing skills.

In my NYSC service year, I taught English to three senior secondary classes, improved student performance by tailoring lessons and clear communication. As form master for SS2, I managed daily roll calls, monitored attendance, and provided guidance. I compiled term results, designed resources for varied learning styles, and created an inclusive environment that boosted performance by 15%.

In my master's program in communication studies, I focused on behavioral change strategies designed to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). My research examined the intersection of media, communication, and societal transformation, with an emphasis on how communication can drive social change and foster development. My research includes key publications, such as a study on the adoption of new media technologies during Nigeria's 2023 presidential campaign. The findings highlighted the widespread adoption of new media and demonstrated its critical role in shaping public opinion and political engagement. I also explored the influence of user-generated content (UGC) on consumer purchasing behavior, revealing that UGC significantly impacts consumer decisions, emphasizing the need for regulation of content manipulation in digital spaces. For my dissertation, I conducted an evaluation of the Edo State Government's communication strategies aimed at job creation and entrepreneurship in Benin City, Nigeria. This research assessed the effectiveness of their communication efforts in creating economic opportunities and fostering local entrepreneurship.

In my postgraduate diploma in mass communication, I focused on development communication, exploring how media can be leveraged to foster societal progress and address developmental challenges. My studies were centered around understanding the role of communication in driving social change and promoting sustainable development. Throughout the program, I produced several unpublished papers on critical topics such as advertising and public relations, where I explored their influence on public perception and societal behaviour. These works delved into the ethical implications and effectiveness of communication strategies in shaping public opinion. For my final project, I conducted an in-depth study on the influence of television content on societal degradation. This research examined how television programming, particularly in Nigeria, affects social values, behaviours, and public perceptions, shedding light on the role of mass media in both reflecting and shaping societal trends.

During my HND in Mass Communication, I specialized in Broadcast Communication and Film Studies, with a strong focus on storytelling, audio-visual media, and development-oriented communication. As part of my coursework, I wrote several original scripts—including Final Scene, Crown Orphan, and Selfless Love—which explored social themes through engaging narratives. I led a team of 50 coursemates in the successful production of our departmental film project, demonstrating leadership, collaboration, and creative direction. For my final year project, I proposed a visionary film concept that explored the power of the audio-visual medium and storytelling as vital tools for promoting developmental ideas and social change in Nigeria. Additionally, I completed a public relations project titled Rebranding the Battered Image of the Nigeria Police Force, which critically examined the causes of public distrust and aligned with the broader social concerns that fueled the #EndSARS movement and the call to end police brutality.
