  Client – AT&T Role – Subject Matter Expert(SME) Work Location – Birmingham-AL Project-AT&T billing This unit of AT&T is responsible for billing the retail & large consumers. AT&T also supports other telephone companies(like SPRINT,Cingular) for generating/inclusion of their bills on AT&T bills. The system categorizes the usage as either local or long distance & using the rate database calculates the usage charge. System also calculates the tax depending on the usage & state. As a part of this project I worked on following applications. · Vertex – We support Nine states for AT&T billing. Different states have different taxing rules. Also taxing rules change as per different state govement policies. We use a tax calculating software from Vertex Inc. At the end of each month a BBI(AT&T) user goes to Vertex website & downloads new tax files. BBI user modifies these files based on certain rules. These files will then be transmitted to Tap Media server using connect direct. Connect direct triggers a task on TapMedia server. The task takes the backup of the new files in the backup directory. TapMedia is a Unix box. The CommTax software on the TapMedia server creates the index files. Then along with these index files other tax data files are transmitted to three different destinations. These destinations are on the IBM mainframe & windows based system. · CPAS – This is a payment gateway for AT&T where different agents accepts the bill payments onbehalf of AT&T. These payments are routed to AT&T through CPAS. This is a Unix based system & had a servlet to get the payment, receive the inquiry on the earlier payment etc. · CASH – All the Hard Cash or electronic payments are routed through CASH application. CASH then prepares the payment record which then will be posted to Oracle ERP via a flat file using ConnectDirect.   Client – Citigroup Role - Mainframe Developer Work Location – Blue Ash-OH Project-Citigroup – RDI Citigroups RDI deals with capturing & processing of return items. This unit of citigroup provides support for Smith Barney customers also. Entire application is on multiple platforms. Returned checks are sorted on the high speed sorter using a capture system written in C++ which is sitting on Unisys system. Some of check details may not be captured properly by the capture system & may require user intervention. User correct the batches & submits it to the IBM mainframe. Applications on the IBM mainframe creates the instructions for posting debit & fees if applicable, to customer account. Various reports like operator statistics, account analysis report, special instruction reports are also getting generated in this system. Also most of the functionality is existing on old technology(Unisys system) a work is in progress to migrate this system to dot net, oracle & crystal report. Citigroup – RDI rollout Different operation units of citigroup has different system for processing of return deposit items. For ex. West coast has Vector RDI system, which is currently on the IBM mainframe system. The objective of this project was to develop a web based(.NET) solution. Initially implement it in Englewood cliffs & slowly rollout this solution to other FIMPs. Vendors are working on this, I was a part of review of high level & detail design. Image Processing This is a new project which will bring a new era to check processing & clearing system. After the execution of this project we will be able to scan the check image at ATM, Merchants do not have to go to physical bank locations, instead of this by using image capture devices he will be able submit the check images. Fed has agreed to X9.37 protocols & will soon going to support this protocol. Aim of this project is to migrate the existing check processing functionality from UNISYS to IBM mainframe. This project consists of 3 vendor products IBM CPCS, Software earnings component which is basically used for reject reentry & balancing, Carrekar’s components are used to support multisite functionality. Citibank online account opening This project consists of multiple units of retail banking. Some components are developed on the IBM side to retrieve some data from GCIF database. Using this data other unit of Citibank will be able to retrieve check images & crop the signature on the first check & will store in the database for future signature validation. eReturns SAR report As a part of this project various reports generated by front end will be pushed to SAR so that they will be available for the user for viewing. Migration of existing system from unisys to .Net Involved in the preparation of high level design document & screens for this project.
