I have taught 1st and 2nd-year students to improve their overall English language efficiency. I have guided my students to master the 4 pillars of the language (speaking, listening, reading, and writing). Also, one of my main priorities was to enrich their vocabulary knowledge, so they could have used the language at more ease and a higher level of proficiency. Middle School Teacher of English I have taught 1st and 3rd-year students and helped them acquire the language naturally by using examples from real-life situations. I have focused on improving their pronunciation and spelling skills. (Ha Long, Quảng Ninh Province, Vietnam.) I have worked in more than 5 different kindergartens at the same time. I usually start the lesson by greeting my students and singing hello songs while dancing to the music, then we do some physical activities: sit down – stand up – jump – walk – turn around – run – and stop. Later on, I introduce them to new vocabularies through flashcards, realia and toys, hand gestures, and body language...etc. Most importantly the students have to repeat the words with clear and accurate pronunciation (for example:Happy, Sad, Sleepy, Hungry, Angry...etc.) After that we play a game called ‘tag the picture’, first I would put the flashcards in a circle and ask 2 to 3 students to join me and say one of the words out loud (Sleepy) and the first student to touch the correct picture will be the winner and can earn a treat ‘candy/ lollipop...etc’ The next part of the lesson is grammar, I often ask the students a question related to the first part ‘vocabularies’, like (how are you?). Once the students repeat the same question I then reply by saying: I’m ‘happy’ / I’m ‘sad’ / I’m ‘sleepy’ / I’m ‘hungry’ / I’m ‘angry’ (whileusing hand gestures and body language). Then I would ask one of the students to play the role of the teacher in which he/she asks his classmates the same type of question. We have also enjoyed playing another game called ‘Pass the ball’: I would start the activity by playing ‘chicken dance music’ and ask the students to pass the ball to each other. Once the music stops, the student holding the ball will have to come out to the center of the class and answer the question of ‘How are you?’ And he/she can get a treat upon answering correctly. At the end of the lesson, we usually sing and dance to a goodbye song (one little finger). https://www.facebook.com/newskyedu.vn I have taught IELTS at New Sky and VietSun Centers in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. Teaching English at Hon Gai High School I have taught English for grades 10 and 11. My lessons included the use of PowerPoint materials. Teaching English at VietSun Center https://www.facebook.com/Ngo%E1%BA%A1i-Ng%E1%BB%AF-Vietsun-1454944374741325 Bai Chay Primary Teacher of English I have taught grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 at Bai Chay Primary School. As a primary teacher of English, my main focus was enriching my students' vocabulary list and preventing any future pronunciation errors (i.e: similar to the pronunciationerrors made by older students 'TH', S, T, R, and Z). I have always made sure that my students understood the meaning behind difficult words (mainly through the use of pictures, gestures, and body language...etc). I have included engaging classroom games within my lessons like (sticky balls, slappy hands, face-off, the whisper game, spelling game using sticky alphabets, snake and ladder game using dice and coins, hot seat chair, and many interesting and challenging games or activities that were either cooperative or competitive) At the end of each activity; I usually give winners different types of rewards (highfives, stickers, stamps, candies, toys, and gifts...etc). Also, I have taught new basic songs which were relevant to my students’ age, needs, level, and interest. Bai Chay Secondary Teacher of English I have taught grades 6, 7, and 8 at Bai Chay Secondary School. The main objective of my lessons was to enrich my students' vocabulary list, and improve their pronunciation skills (since most Vietnamese students have always beenstruggling in pronouncing certain sounds like: 'TH', S, T, R, and Z), I also focused on building and developing their communication skills.
